Realme has once again partnered with Warner Bros. for a special edition device, following its previously released color-shifting Game of Thrones collectible. The new Realme 16 Pro 5G Harry Potter Edition marries themed exterior aesthetics with the standard model’s primary hardware, while including a substantial bundle of exclusive accessories.
As an avid fan of the series, I eagerly awaited the review unit. Upon arrival, I inspected the device from its packaging to its software interface, finding it to be a Hogwarts-themed transformation that any enthusiast would appreciate.
Unboxing the Hogwarts Trunk
The packaging is designed to resemble Harry’s original Hogwarts trunk. Unlike magic, the Alohomora spell cannot open it; physical effort is required. Once opened, the presentation captures the spirit of “You’re a wizard, Harry!” and immerses the user in the franchise’s world.
On the left, a brown compartment holds the phone case and SIM-ejector tool, both branded with the Hogwarts crest. A wand is not included, so casting “Accio” yields no results.
Removing the brown case reveals the remaining collection items.
The right side features a cardboard holder topped with the Sorting Hat logo. Inside, users will find the Hogwarts acceptance letter, a Platform Nine and Three-Quarters ticket, bookmarks representing each house, and four postcards.
The letter is sealed with a wax-like stamp, and the bookmarks include a holder for displaying a preferred house emblem. In my case, the Hufflepuff badge became my favorite bookmark.
Behind the holder sits the phone. Notably, Realme color-coded the charger and cable to match the theme, a detail often overlooked in other collaborations where accessories remain plain white.
A Device Wrapped in Wizarding Magic
While wizards might use Wingardium Leviosa to summon the device, users will simply lift it out. The handset continues the design theme with gold accents against a dark brown finish, filled with delightful hidden references.
The camera module features two prominent rings with a golden diamond between them, reminiscent of Hedwig’s eyes and beak. The gold deco contrasts sharply against the leather-textured rear panel, which offers a comfortable grip.
The rear panel also features a diamond pattern inspired by wizard’s chess. It bears the four-house crest, the motto “Draco Dormiens Nunquam Titillandus,” and the Harry Potter and Realme logos. Under UV light, the crest glows in house-specific colors via Realme’s Quadra Light-Sensing technology. Additionally, “Welcome to Hogwarts” is engraved on the right side.

The Harry Potter UI is mesmerizing. -
Realme has customized the Google app icons as well.
The thematic integration extends to software. Powering on the device triggers a Harry Potter boot animation and a custom letter wax fingerprint animation.
The interface features a Hogwarts-specific UI with a castle wallpaper and over 30 custom icons. Standard apps are reimagined as themed objects; the Phone app is a red telephone booth, and Notes is a quill. Even Google app icons are customized.
Hardware and Performance Specs
Although I have not used it as a daily driver, the device carries strong specifications. It features a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate, claiming peak brightness of 6,000 nits. Visibility under direct sunlight was excellent.
Under the hood, it runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Max chip, combined with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
Imaging includes a 200-megapixel main sensor, an 8-megapixel ultrawide with a 112-degree field of view, and a 50-megapixel front camera. Power comes from a 7,000-mAh battery supporting 80-watt fast charging. The phone runs Realme UI 7.0 based on Android 16. Production is limited to 5,000 units, priced at INR 62,999 (approximately $655) in India. Availability in the US is not confirmed, though Google Pixel devices have recently received Harry Potter theme packs.
By 2026, it seems fitting for Hogwarts to adopt smartphones alongside Floo Powder. For a fan of the books and films, the Realme 16 Pro 5G Harry Potter Edition demonstrates significant effort from both companies.
Realme successfully transported me back to the Wizarding World, from the trunk case to the customized software. With hidden references and collectibles included, it stands as my favorite limited-edition phone, quite literally Riddikulus-ly cool.
