Report: Tottenham launch move to hijack major Aston Villa transfer deal

Tottenham have reportedly launched a move to try and neutralize Aston Villa’s attempts to secure Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson.

Spurs clearly require further fortitude from the transfer market ahead of the remaining days in the window following a poor 3‑0 away defeat to Brentford on opening day.

Deficiencies at the striker position make signings up front a pressing priority, especially after the North Londoners bolstered defense and midfield during the summer with acquisitions such as Sandro Tonali, Mateus Fernandes, and Jan Paul van Hecke.
