During Friday’s episode of WWE SmackDown, Joe Tessitore and Wade Barrett reported that Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley is currently being evaluated for a knee injury sustained while she was in Italy.
WWE indicated that further details about her return will be provided once her response to treatment is known.
Ripley has a history of injuries. In October, she suffered a broken nose during a fatal‑four‑way match at a supershow in Japan. Earlier this year, on the April 15, 2024 episode of Raw, she was forced to vacate the Women’s World Championship after sustaining an arm and shoulder injury during a backstage segment with Liv Morgan.
