Rhys Langston Announces New Album to live and die in E.U.L.A.: Hear Two Songs

The Los Angeles–based rapper Rhys Langston continues his evolution after his 2022 release Pale Black Negative and his collaboration with R.A.P. Ferreira and nhaphet on “Sound Of Horns.” This fall, Langston is issuing a new LP titled to live and die in E.U.L.A., accompanied by two newly recorded tracks.

Although Langston has kept the specifics of the project tight, some internet sleuthing has suggested the E.U.L.A. acronym refers to “End‑User License Agreement” — a rather unexpected tie‑in to a William Friedkin classic. Nonetheless, the exact meaning of the slogan remains unconfirmed. On his Bandcamp, the musician releases ahead of time “my grandmother’s pecan tree” (featuring La LA rapper Kwame Adu) and “it’s the fadeout…,” both praised for their serene mood and technical finesse.
