Due to an ongoing medical issue, Ric Flair will not be able to make his scheduled appearance at Washington State Horror Con this weekend.
Flair has been dealing with a blood clot in his leg, which caused him to miss the Cauliflower Alley Club’s annual reunion over the summer. The blood clot remains an issue for Flair, and his travel has been limited to 3–4 hours because of it. Flying to the West Coast is not possible for him at the moment. Flair apologized to everyone involved with Washington State Horror Con and said he looks forward to getting healthy and seeing everyone down the road.
“Unfortunately, I Am Dealing With A Blood Clot In My Leg, And My Doctors Have Limited My Travel To 3–4 Hours. Seattle Falls Outside That Range, And As Disappointed As I Am, I Have To Put My Health And Recovery First.” Flair wrote.
The 77-year-old wrestling legend said he is scheduled to undergo a procedure that should help with the issue and allow him to travel further.
“I’m Scheduled To Have A Procedure To Strip The Affected Vein, Which My Doctors Expect Will Allow Me To Be Cleared For More Travel Afterward,” Flair added.
Based out of Florida, Flair has still been making personal appearances closer to where he lives on the East Coast.
Washington State Horror Con is taking place from October 23-25 at the Washington State Fair and Events Center in Puyallup, Washington.
Ric Flair remains under contract with AEW
In a recent NewsNation interview, Flair offered high praise for his friend and boss Tony Khan. Flair remains under contract with AEW despite making only very rare appearances for the company. Flair was originally brought into AEW in 2023 to be part of Sting’s retirement tour. Flair believes Khan still keeps him under contract out of respect.
“He’s a nice guy, he’s generous. I work for him, and I don’t do anything,” Flair told NewsNation. “I think he takes care of me out of respect for me. He grew up on me. He’s just a wonderful guy.”
I Want To Sincerely Apologize To My Agent, Steve Solomon, Washington State Horror Con @wahorrorcon, @bigeventny, And Especially All My Fans In Seattle For Having To Cancel My Scheduled Appearance.
Unfortunately, I Am Dealing With A Blood Clot In My Leg, And My Doctors Have…
