Chelsea have reportedly received a €40 million approach from Roma for Alejandro Garnacho, according to Italian publication Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Argentine winger, who joined the Blues from Manchester United last summer, endured a challenging first season at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea’s decision-makers are now prepared to part ways with the 22-year-old, and Roma have emerged as frontrunners in securing his signature.
The club’s preferred valuation stands at approximately €50 million, though Roma have presented an initial €5 million loan fee for a season-long arrangement. They have also included an option to convert the deal into a permanent transfer for €35 million in the summer of 2027, contingent on performance clauses.
While Chelsea are reviewing the proposal, they are expected to push for a mandatory purchase clause. Despite interest from select Premier League sides, Garnacho has expressed a preference for a move to Serie A, with Napoli among other clubs monitoring his situation.
