Roman Reigns, the current WWE World Heavyweight Champion, will return to Monday Night RAW next week, as announced by WWE. His next title defense is scheduled for the September 14 episode, which will be broadcast live from Arena Ciudad de México in Mexico.
“On September 14, Monday Night RAW makes history when we broadcast live from Arena Ciudad de México in Mexico for the first time in 15 years. I’m not only a RAW superstar but also the general manager of AAA. That’s why I discussed the importance of Lucha Libre with RAW general manager Adam Pearce and with The OTC, Roman Reigns. Roman recognized how vital Lucha Libre is to me, and how significant this night is.”
Rey Mysterio announced that Reigns’ challenger will be determined through a tournament featuring top Mexican luchadores. The tournament’s final match, pitting Penta and Rey Fenix, is set for this Monday on RAW. Consequently, Reigns will learn his opponent after the upcoming broadcast.
