Rubio Engages Lebanese Premier Salam on Framework for Regional Stability

Secretary of State Marco Rubio met with Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam in Washington, D.C. During the meeting, Rubio reaffirmed U.S. support for Lebanon’s implementation of the Trilateral Framework, describing it as the essential path to lasting peace between Lebanon and Israel. He also commended the Salam government’s efforts to strengthen state authority and reiterated Washington’s commitment to a sovereign Lebanon independent of Hizballah and Iranian influence.
