Sam Fender has said he is “not happy” with the “inflated” ticket prices for his 2027 UK and Ireland tour, telling fans that they are “getting changed”.
The singer-songwriter will bring the ‘Proper Massive Stadium Tour’ to the UK and Ireland next summer. The run begins with two massive homecoming concerts at St James’ Park in Newcastle on June 3 and 5.
From there, Fender will perform at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium, London’s Wembley Stadium, Dublin’s Marlay Park, Edinburgh’s Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium, and Manchester’s Etihad Stadium, with support from Wunderhorse.
General tickets are scheduled to go on sale at 9:30am GMT next Friday (October 30). A pre-sale will be offered at the same time on Wednesday (October 28) for fans who pre-order Fender’s yet-to-be-announced fourth album before 9am GMT on Monday (October 26).
Following the announcement of the dates, fans have been discussing the reported ticket prices. Standing tickets for Newcastle were reported to cost £98.60, with seating ranging from £86.50 to £112.90.
Wembley was said to be priced at £130.75 for front standing, £98.85 for general standing, and seating between £64.75 and £130.75.

Cardiff, Edinburgh and Manchester are also reportedly separated into two standing sections. The front area at every venue is listed at around £120 to £130.
The apparent prices were published by Instagram user Gavin Davis, who regularly posts leaks for tours and shows ahead of them being officially confirmed.
Fender has since responded in the comments section, writing: “I’m not happy with these prices, they’re getting changed.”
He continued: “It got inflated well more than I’d had in mind, it should only be inflated in relation to the cost of putting the show on.”
The ‘People Watching’ musician went on to criticise the concept of standing sections being separated into “front” and “general” areas at big shows.

It is not yet known when the updated pricing for Fender’s ‘Proper Massive Stadium Tour’ will be published. For comparison, tickets for his previous stadium shows in 2025 ranged between £65 and £88 (via Time Out).
Last November, Fender was among the major artists urging the UK government to uphold its previous pledge to put a cap on secondary ticket prices, along with the likes of Radiohead, Dua Lipa, Coldplay and The Cure’s Robert Smith.
Elsewhere, funds raised from the singer’s previous arena tour helped support 38 grassroots music venues across the UK. He adopted a £1 ticket levy for the shows to aid in the survival of such live establishments.

“It’s brilliant to see that the money raised from the arena tour is making a real difference to so many venues,” Fender said.
The star’s ‘Proper Massive Stadium Tour’ schedule leaves a noticeable gap around Glastonbury 2027, amid rumours that he’ll headline the Pyramid Stage. If Fender is confirmed, it will mark his first slot at Worthy Farm since 2022. He is also topping the bill at Rock Werchter in Belgium next July.
This year has seen Fender win the Songwriter Of The Year award at the Ivor Novellos, win the Song Of The Year prize at the BRITs, and break the record for the longest-running UK Number One single of all time with his Olivia Dean duet ‘Rein Me In’.
