According to the company’s largest union, a Samsung memory chip worker earning approximately $60,000 annually could receive around $560,000 in pre-tax bonuses. This figure combines Samsung’s existing profit-sharing bonus with a newly introduced special payment. While the company has not yet confirmed the total amount, it detailed the special bonus structure on October 7, explaining that it would be calculated at 10.5% of the employee’s base salary. The initiative aims to strengthen employee retention in the face of intense competition from Chinese firms.
