Saudi Foreign Minister Engages in U.S. Diplomatic Discussions on Regional Security and Bilateral Relations

The Saudi foreign minister met with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio in Washington to address bilateral relations and assess critical regional and global developments, according to the Saudi Press Agency.

In separate statements on X/Twitter, Saudi authorities reported that missiles targeted Khamis Mushait while drones approached Riyadh, the kingdom’s capital. The Saudi defense forces confirmed active monitoring of these threats, though no immediate details were provided regarding the incidents.

Saudi Civil Defense earlier issued overnight emergency alerts for residents in Khamis Mushait and Abha, but did not extend warnings to Riyadh.
