Head coach Mike Macdonald hinted that Henderson’s trajectory extends far beyond Sunday’s stats, envisioning him as an elite contributor in Seattle.

“When we look at Dewey and specifically the return game, I think he’s scratching the surface of what he can do,” said Macdonald. “Dewey’s a great talent, but he should be thinking about being All-Pro. In terms of coverage, coverage is who you play against…If you’re the best in the league at returning kickoffs, you’re talking All-Pro.”

While initial impressions leaned toward Henderson winning a roster spot on special teams, Macdonald’s vision for his role suggests broader aspirations.
