October 08, 2026 — The Sindh High Court (SHC) at Karachi has issued ad-interim orders suspending several impugned notifications and orders challenged by K-Electric Limited (PSX: KEL) in its ongoing tariff appeals matter, according to a formal disclosure filed with the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX).

The stay orders, passed on October 07, 2026, were issued in response to a petition filed by K-Electric challenging multiple regulatory directives. Specifically, the company contested the judgments delivered by the NEPRA Appellate Tribunal on September 23, 2026, concerning its tariff appeals.

In addition to the tribunal judgments, K-Electric is challenging NEPRA’s Review Determinations from October 20, 2025, as well as subsequent notifications issued by NEPRA on September 23, 2026, and those issued by the Ministry of Energy (Power Division) on September 27, 2026.

This legal action marks a continuation of the ongoing dispute, following the company’s initial disclosure on September 24, 2026.
