New Delhi, August 31: South Delhi Superstarz secured the DPL 2026 championship with a commanding seven‑wicket win over Central Delhi Kings in a thrilling final at Arun Jaitley Stadium.
Chasing 183, the Superstarz reached 186/3 in 18.2 overs, clinching the trophy in impressive fashion.
Anmol Sharma anchored the chase with a composed 64 off 42 balls, featuring six fours and three sixes. He was well supported by Ankit Dabas, who smashed an unbeaten 61 from 33 deliveries, including five fours and four sixes.
Captain Tejasvi Dahiya added a brisk 33 off 18 balls, striking three fours and three sixes, while Ekansh Dobal sealed the victory with an unbeaten seven off three balls, finishing with a six.
Earlier, Central Delhi Kings were restricted to 182/8 after being asked to bat first. Samarth Singh top‑scored with a fluent 51 off 27 balls, and captain Jonty Sidhu contributed a brisk 36 from 19 balls, including three sixes.
Yugal Saini added 32 off 29 balls, and Money Grewal provided a late flourish with an explosive 18 off seven deliveries, boosting the Kings’ total.
The Superstarz bowlers kept the Kings in check; Divansh Rawat led with three wickets for 17 runs, Vision Panchal claimed two, and Ankit Dabas, Pranshu Vijayran and Anshuman Hooda each took one.
Although Central Delhi Kings posted a competitive total, the Superstarz batters dictated the chase from the start, maintaining a strong run rate and sealing a convincing victory to claim the DPL 2026 crown.
