After dominating the box office since its July release, Tom Holland’s fourth portrayal of Peter Parker has secured a historic milestone. Spider-Man: Brand New Day has officially surpassed Star Wars: The Force Awakens to become the highest-grossing film in domestic box-office history, claiming the record that the Star Wars sequel held for nearly 11 years.
The superhero blockbuster reached approximately $936.7 million in the United States and Canada on Tuesday, overtaking the previous lifetime record, while its theatrical run continues.
