Squirrel Flower Releases New Album “Say a Prayer to the Gods of Getting Going”

Ella Williams returns with her latest Squirrel Flower album, Say a Prayer to the Gods of Getting Going. The record features collaborations with Dimitri Giannopoulos of Horse Jumper of Love, Dave Hartley of War on Drugs, Sofia Jensen of Free Range, Clay Frankel of Twin Peaks, and several others. It will be available from Polyvinyl on August 21.

“The lyrics started as an art piece I made on an overdue Kansas Turnpike toll bill,” Williams said. “This song is my ode to the push and pull of domesticity and unraveling—leaving and getting reeled back in, over and over again.”
