Sri Lankan all‑rounder Dewmi Vihanga will miss the Women’s T20 Asia Cup after sustaining a right‑knee injury in a practice match, delaying her T20I debut. She is replaced by left‑arm spinner Nimasha Meepage, who made her T20I debut in December 2025 and has appeared in 14 matches across formats, taking six wickets in nine innings at an average of 38.33 and an economy rate of 7.66.

The remaining squad composition stays the same. Chamari Athapaththu will captain the defending champions, with Harshitha Samarawickrama as vice‑captain, and Kaushini Nuthyangana serving as the sole wicket‑keeper in the 15‑player group.
Sri Lanka are placed in Group B with Bangladesh, Indonesia and the United Arab Emirates. They open their title defence against the UAE on 29 August. As reigning champions, they won the Asia Cup in 2024 by beating India in the Dambulla final.
