Strategy (MSTR) recently completed a two‑part financing transaction, raising $108.6 million from the sale of 1,690 Bitcoin and an additional $653.1 million from the sale of 6.59 million shares of its common stock, according to a filing released on Monday.
The proceeds from the Bitcoin sale were used to repurchase 1,152,020 shares of its variable‑rate preferred stock, STRC, for $108.6 million.
Following the transactions, Strategy’s Bitcoin holdings stand at 840,447 BTC, which were originally purchased for $63.36 billion at an average price of $75,385 per coin. The 1,690 Bitcoin sold fetched an average of $64,262 each, net of fees.
The company allocated $650 million of the common‑stock proceeds to its USD reserve, bringing the reserve balance to $4.65 billion as of August 9, while the remaining $3.1 million was added to cash.
The latest actions leave $785.2 million available under the preferred‑stock repurchase program and $1 billion under the common‑stock repurchase program.
Both MSTR and STRC rose 0.5 % in Monday pre‑market trading, and Bitcoin was trading around $65,000.
