TechCrunch Disrupt 2026 is approaching quickly. Scheduled for October 13–15 at San Francisco’s Moscone West, the conference will host over 10,000 innovators, founders, investors, and industry leaders. However, the broader Bay Area community gathering extends well beyond those three days.
Through the Disrupt Side Events program, you can organize a custom gathering for your community anytime between October 10 and 16, with promotion directed at Disrupt attendees. Act quickly, as the application deadline is Friday, September 4 at midnight PT.
What Are the Benefits of Hosting a Side Event?
Hosting a Side Event gives you complete control over your community gathering, placing your brand directly in front of key stakeholders. Whether you are a venture capitalist aiming to spark meaningful conversations, a company showcasing breakthrough innovation, or a community builder with a unique perspective, this is your opportunity to:
- Connect directly with thousands of leading tech minds.
- Cultivate authentic relationships with potential partners, investors, and collaborators.
- Control your narrative and showcase your expertise on your own terms.
- Generate lasting buzz that extends well beyond the event itself.
All approved Side Events receive promotion to Disrupt attendees and our broader audiences through the official Side Events calendar and dedicated marketing channels.
What Types of Side Events Can You Host?
Almost any event aligning with your vision is likely to receive approval. Past Disrupt events have successfully featured everything from industry roundtables and VC office hours to deep-dive workshops, intimate dinners, and casual networking happy hours.
You have full creative control over the format—we simply ask that you bring the energy and ensure the event remains open to both Disrupt attendees and the general public. We recommend scheduling your events during the evenings of Disrupt (October 13–15), as lower competition and post-conference excitement foster deeper conversations with highly engaged audiences.
How to Apply for a Side Event
While you can review the application form online, it is helpful to finalize a few details before beginning the application process:
- Secure a venue in the Bay Area, as these events are strictly in-person experiences.
- Prepare a title, description, and venue details for the event.
- Review the Side Events Host Guide and the Side Event Host Terms and Conditions.
If you have additional questions, our team is here to assist you! Simply email the Side Events team, and we will follow up to provide support.
While we prioritize events that deliver meaningful value to founders, investors, and the startup community, you know your audience best. There is zero cost to apply and participate, so we encourage you to submit your ideas.
Submit Your Application by September 4
Submit your application now and outline your vision, goals, and logistical needs. We will handle the remainder to ensure your team receives the support and exposure necessary to maximize the community and opportunity that Disrupt brings to San Francisco and the Bay Area.
