Manager Franck Le Bris joined Sunderland from Lorient in 2024, immediately delivering a promotion to the Premier League after an eight-year absence in his debut season.
The 50-year-old then guided the club to an impressive seventh-place finish in the Premier League the following year, securing qualification for the Europa League.
This achievement marked Sunderland’s first qualification for European competition in 53 years, a historic milestone for the club.
In the current Europa League campaign, the team has secured two victories and one draw in the league phase, and is set to host Croatian side Dinamo Zagreb on Thursday.
