Sunderland Interested in Move for Sassuolo Defender
Per the Daily Record, relayed by Sunderland Echo, the club has shown interest in Doig as they evaluate their options ahead of the season’s start.
The 24-year-old has gained significant experience in Italy after moving from Hibernian to Hellas Verona in 2022 and then to Sassuolo in January 2024.
He has since become a regular presence on the left side of the pitch.
However, Sunderland are not the only contenders. Marseille and Olympiakos are also reportedly interested, which could pressure the club to act swiftly if they remain keen on Doig.
