One person has died and five others were wounded after shots were fired at an event in northern Switzerland during the early hours of Sunday, according to local police.
“The manhunt for the unknown perpetrator is under way,” Aargau Cantonal Police said in a statement. “Possible motives as well as the exact circumstances of the crime are still unclear.”
Police said the shooting occurred near a horse racing track in Schachen, Aarau, approximately 46 km (29 miles) west of Zurich.
Local media reported that a rave was being held in the area and continued into the early morning of Sunday.
