Tame Impala Covers Smashing Pumpkins on Tribute Album

Following a recent breakthrough on the Billboard Hot 100, Tame Impala’s frontman Kevin Parker brings a refreshed, dreamy take to a classic Smashing Pumpkins track as part of the new compilation, Sending Hearts To All My Dearies – A Tribute To The Smashing Pumpkins.

While the remix of Parker’s previous single “Dracula” featuring BlackPink has climbed to #18, the cover of “Hummer” from the Smashing Pumpkins’ 1993 landmark album Siamese Dream promises to capture the band’s iconic sound through Tame Impala’s signature blend of psychedelic textures and crisp guitar work.

In a press statement, Parker reflected, “Siamese Dream was the soundtrack of my adolescence, and ‘Hummer’ is the song that brings those memories vividly back.” The cover features a six‑minute, atmospheric arrangement that stays true to the original while infusing contemporary sonic elements.
