Former England batter Tammy Beaumont has committed to The Blaze for another two years, extending her stay with the treble-winning Trent Bridge franchise despite retiring from international cricket.

The 35-year-old finalized new terms with the side just three months after announcing her retirement from the national setup.

Her domestic farewell coincided with a dominant 2026 campaign, where she played a pivotal role in securing a clean sweep of major honours, including the T20 Blast, County Cup, and One-Day Cup.

The new agreement ensures she remains with the club until at least 2028, extending a professional career that began with Kent in 2007, marking her 21st season overall.

“I’m thrilled to be staying on for a few more years as we aim to defend the trophies secured this season,” Beaumont told the club’s official website.

Beaumont joined The Blaze in 2022 following its relocation and renaming from Loughborough, having previously played for the franchise under its former identity, Lightning.

Across 78 appearances for The Blaze and its predecessors, the 2017 World Cup champion has amassed over 2,600 runs in all formats.

More than 900 of those runs were scored during the current season across 35 matches, underscoring her contribution to the treble-winning campaign that concluded her 16-year international tenure.

Her international legacy includes over 7,300 runs for England in 140 one-day internationals, 109 T20s, and 12 Tests.

Blaze head coach Craig Cumming hailed Beaumont as an “incredibly important part” of the squad, labeling her “one of the highest-quality players of this generation.”
