Taylor Swift Announces ‘Encore’ Edition of ‘Life of a Showgirl’ with Four New Songs
Hot on the heels of the announcement of new single “Patient Zero,” Taylor Swift has revealed that the track is part of a special, deluxe edition of her Life of a Showgirl album, dubbed The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore.
The release, arriving this Friday, will feature “Patient Zero” alongside additions “Cleveland!,” “Pink Clouding” and “Babylon.”
Swift indicated that the new tracks were not part of the original Showgirl sessions but instead were co-written by herself and collaborators Max Martin and Shellback while celebrating the 2025 album’s debut.
“About a year ago, you all accomplished something incredibly remarkable. Your devotion to ‘The Life of a Showgirl’ shattered records – your first week sold out faster than anyone predicted…. After returning to Sweden to celebrate with Max and Shellback, our team decided to continue creating. These songs emerged naturally from our thanks for every opportunity we shared, and we truly hope you appreciate them.”
The announcement follows speculation triggered by Taylor’s Easter‑egg appearance in a Law & Order: SVU sketch ahead of the 2026 Emmys, leading fans to believe she might revisit her 20‑year‑old debut album. Now the mystery is resolved with the official reveal of “Patient Zero” and the expanded The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore.
