Team Dresch has returned after a three‑decade hiatus with a new album. The forthcoming record, *Furthermore*, will be released on September 18 via Jealous Butcher Records. Twylo Landey, daughter of singer‑bassist Jody Bleyle, choreographed and appears in the music video for the lead single “One Song,” which references Maurice Sendak’s banned children’s book *In the Night Kitchen*. The video is viewable below.

In a press statement, Team Dresch described the track as layered with meaning. It serves as a love letter from their present selves to their younger selves, offering hope and empowerment to young queer individuals navigating struggle, and honors elders who have built defenses through years of work, caregiving, and life’s hardships.

Formed in Portland, Oregon in 1993, Team Dresch originally included Jody Bleyle (vocals/bass), Kaia Wilson (guitar/vocals), and Donna Dresch (guitar/bass). Marcéo Martinez played drums on the band’s 1995 debut *Personal Best*, after which Melissa York assumed drumming duties for the 1996 release *Captain My Captain*. Both Martinez and York later rejoined for *Furthermore*.

In 2019, Team Dresch reissued *Personal Best* and *Captain My Captain* alongside the compilation *Choices, Chances, Changes: Singles & Comptracks 1994‑2000*. The following year they released “Story of the Earth,” a climate‑change protest song originally composed in 2007. In the subsequent year they performed a handful of U.S. shows to mark the 30th anniversary of *Personal Best*.
