Team USA’s women’s gymnasts added to their medal haul on Friday at the 2026 Pan American Gymnastics Championships in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, with Americans claiming both gold and silver in the all-around final.
Following their team gold medal victory on Wednesday, 17-year-old Claire Pease secured the individual all-around title while first-year senior Charleigh Bullock took silver. Brazil’s Thais Fidelis earned bronze, finishing well behind the American competitors.
This marked the first 1-2 sweep by U.S. women in the all-around event since 2018, when Grace McCallum and Trinity Thomas claimed the top two spots.
Team USA’s Yul Moldauer also claimed bronze in the men’s all-around final later that day in Rio, adding to his bronze from the men’s team competition. Moldauer qualified for five of seven individual finals.
In the women’s all-around final, Pease accumulated 54.498 points to win gold, while Bullock earned 54.032 for silver. Fidelis took bronze with 52.232 points.

Pease established an early lead on the vault with a score of 14.166 for the day’s highest vault performance, highlighted by her Yurchenko double full. Bullock, who led qualifiers, scored 13.133 on vault—a full point less than her team final result—after incurring a neutral deduction for a balk on her first attempt. She rebounded on the uneven bars with a competition-best 14.266, while Pease scored 13.666. On the balance beam, Pease earned 13.533 and Bullock added 13.333.
Closing competition on floor, Pease needed only to avoid major errors to secure her first senior international title. The former U.S. junior champion scored 13.133, while Bullock improved by nearly two-tenths in the final rotation but couldn’t overcome the one-point deduction from qualifications.
Upcoming Event Finals
The next step for Team USA features Pease, Bullock, and teammate Simone Rose competing in individual event finals on Sunday. Pease will target titles on vault, uneven bars, and floor, Bullock competes on beam and floor, and Rose attempts vault, uneven bars, and beam events.
