Texans coach DeMeco Ryans confirmed at the end of his news conference Sunday that his team has acquired wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. from the Cardinals. The Cardinals announced the trade on Monday.

In the deal, the Cardinals will receive a second‑round pick and a seventh‑round pick (originally the 49ers’ selection) in the 2027 draft, exchanging Harrison and a 2027 sixth‑round selection.

The transaction is pending Harrison’s successful physical examination.

General Manager Monti Ossenfort issued a statement on the acquisition.

“Decisions like this are never easy,” Ossenfort said. “Ultimately, we have to do what is best for our football team and that will always be the driving factor. We are extremely grateful to Marvin for what he has contributed to our organization and wish him the very best as he moves forward in his career.”

Harrison, who was selected fourth overall in the 2024 NFL Draft, played 33 games for the Cardinals, recording 108 receptions for 1,578 yards and 13 touchdowns.
