While many game publishers have adjusted their release schedules to avoid the anticipated impact of Grand Theft Auto 6’s launch this fall, The Binding of Isaac: Repentance+ Online is set for November 19—the same day as GTA 6. The timing is notable, to say the least.
Repentance+ Online introduces a multiplayer component to The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth, supporting online co-op for up to four players. The release encompasses the full roguelike experience and all associated expansions developed over the years. Compatible with PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2, the mode has been in beta on PC since 2024 and has garnered mixed feedback, with some players reporting performance and stability issues.
2024 has been a prolific year for Edmund McMillen, who also launched Mewgenics, a new roguelike departing from the Isaac franchise, in February.
