The Triangle of Madness Seize Artist of Stardom Belts at 5 Star Grand Prix Opener; Thekla Taunts President Okada

The Triangle of Madness departed the opening night of STARDOM’s 5 Star Grand Prix as newly minted champions.

On Saturday, July 18, Thekla, Julia Hart, and Skye Blue defeated Ami Sohrei, Hina, and Lady C to claim the Artist of Stardom Championship. The win made the trio the 37th titleholders in the history of the belt.

The finish was filled with disorder. The referee was incapacitated before Hart unleashed poison mist and Blue struck Sohrei with one of the championship belts. Thekla then landed a curb stomp on Sohrei to earn the pinfall and the titles. Sohrei, Hina, and Lady C had entered the match with two successful defenses of the championships.

After the bout, Thekla celebrated backstage and issued a warning to STARDOM President Taro Okada.

“Okada! I told you I had a present for you, right? Do you know what it is? It’s us! We’re the present! Look at this, this beautiful belt we have. This is the present. We’re gonna snatch your grubby Stardom belts and take them all over the world. We’re gonna show the world what Stardom is really like. You pathetic a**holes. We came in and took them just like that.
