RAWALPINDI: Specialized water rescue teams from Rescue 1122 intensified search operations on Monday, marking the third day of efforts to locate a six-year-old boy who drowned in Nullah Leh in Gulistan Colony. The incident occurred on Saturday when the child fell into the water while playing near his residence. His father, Mehrban Khan, attempted a rescue but tragically lost his life; his body was recovered the same day.
Authorities have segmented Nullah Leh into three operational zones, deploying scuba divers, boats, and line-based search techniques. All available resources remain mobilized as teams continue combing the waterway to find the missing child, with rescue officials emphasizing their commitment to the ongoing operation.
