Here we examine which quarterbacks are poised to become key trade targets in dynasty fantasy football for the coming season.
The discussion becomes challenging when evaluating players who may not be ideal additions to your roster, which is the focus of this article.
To provide actionable insight for dynasty players, we focus not only on elite or low‑ranked quarterbacks but also on those ranked between QB20 and QB25, with one player placed within the top 20 on Keep Trade Cut.
1. Jordan Love (KTC Rank: QB15)
While Jordan Love is a capable quarterback, his cost‑to‑value ratio is questionable. He has recorded only a single season exceeding 16 points per game, posting 18.8 PPG as a rookie.
A floor of about 15 PPG is modest, and with limited rushing upside, his ceiling appears capped; he has never surpassed 250 rushing yards or five touchdowns in a season.
Given his track record, Love may struggle to achieve a 20‑plus PPG season, and I would prefer acquiring a player with a higher upside while maintaining a comparable floor.
2. Jared Goff (KTC Rank: QB21)
The considerations that apply to Love also affect Jared Goff, whose floor has remained steady at or above 16 PPG over the past four seasons, including 17 PPG in each of the last three and a 19.1 PPG performance in 2024.
First, the 2024 campaign was orchestrated under Ben Johnson, now the Chicago Bears’ head coach, making a repeat of his 18‑19 PPG production unlikely.
Second, at 31 years old, Goff is older than anticipated, and I would expect greater production from a quarterback in his thirties.
3. Bryce Young (KTC Rank: QB23)
The final player on the list is Bryce Young, the 2023 No. 1 overall draft pick who has yet to fully realize his potential.
Although there are moments when Young shines, he has not yet posted a fantasy season exceeding 14 PPG. Moreover, his long‑term future as the Carolina Panthers’ starter is uncertain, and based on his first three seasons, he may not be a reliable starter for the 2026 campaign.
Consequently, Young appears more akin to a high‑upside QB3 than a top‑24 quarterback at present.
All three quarterbacks possess upside and could appreciate in value next season, yet the associated risk stemming from their dynasty rankings suggests it may be wiser to trade them.
