Thursday Night Football generally commands strong audiences, though viewership fluctuates from week to week.
The Week 7 Patriots-Bears game drew 19.86 million viewers on Prime Video. In Week 8, Panthers-Packers fell to 16.56 million.
While that marked a 26% increase over the Chargers’ 37-10 blowout of the Vikings during Week 8 of the 2025 season (13.13 million), it still came in roughly one million viewers below the season-to-date TNF average of 17.56 million.
A Jaguars-Ravens matchup that looked promising on Sunday morning has become far more uncertain following injuries to Baltimore quarterbacks Lamar Jackson and Tyler Huntley. Undrafted rookie Joe Fagnano could end up under center for the Ravens.
That scenario may hurt ratings, but it would likely favor the Jaguars.
