NFL legend and eMed chief wellness officer Tom Brady joined eMed CEO Linda Yaccarino to discuss the company’s mission on “The Claman Countdown.”
Years after his final NFL game, the discipline that defined Tom Brady’s 23-year career remains central to his life on and off the field.
The “TB12” method helped cement Brady’s status as the NFL’s greatest of all time, highlighted by seven Super Bowl victories. Though his Sundays now unfold in the broadcast booth rather than on the gridiron, his competitive fire persists—whether behind the microphone, on the golf course, or in his approach to everyday health.
Brady’s definition of health has evolved, but his core priorities remain unchanged.

“It may look different in terms of what you do or how much time you commit, but ultimately it comes down to preventive health and wellness—preventive medicine and preventive care,” Brady said in a recent FOX Business interview.
“As a player, the more I considered how to prevent injury before taking a hit, the more time, energy, and resources I invested in preparing my body for what lay ahead. That is still much of what I do today. I am no longer taking hits or throwing passes, but I do not want to get injured. I do not want to be an older adult tearing my Achilles.”
That perspective continues to guide Brady’s post-retirement ventures. His latest partnership is with SharkNinja, the consumer-products company known for vacuums, blenders, and other household appliances. Brady stars in the brand’s new holiday advertising campaign alongside soccer icon David Beckham, comedian Kevin Hart, and tennis star Aryna Sabalenka.

Brady’s competitive drive extends well beyond athletics and health into daily “commitment.”
“How can I be a better friend or a better father? How can I honor the people who have committed to me and stay true to my own commitments?” he said. “I have to look in the mirror every day and ensure I follow through on the promises I make to myself. How can I improve physically by caring for my body and treating it the way it deserves? I want to live a great life.
“Mentally, I want to safeguard my thoughts and be intentional about where I direct my time and energy. I want to keep learning from people who are smarter and more successful than I am. Emotionally, how can I challenge my heart and emotions to grow through life’s different chapters—being a father and supporting my children?”

“We all have one life. We should live it fully, keep growing, and strive to be a little bit better. That is my approach.”
