Nottinghamshire 149 for 4 (Moores 51*) defeated Leicestershire 143 for 7 (Eskinazi 52, Linde 3-31) by six wickets

Nottinghamshire Outlaws secured their eighth consecutive win in the Vitality Blast, setting a new county record in the 20-over format, with a six-wicket victory over Leicestershire Foxes at Trent Bridge. Tom Moores’ unbeaten 51 from 33 balls propelled the Outlaws to 149 for 4, surpassing the target with 10 balls to spare.
Stephen Eskinazi’s 52 not out from 41 deliveries provided Leicestershire with a fighting total of 143 for 7, but South African left-arm spinner George Linde’s 3 for 31 and debutant Binura Fernando’s 2 for 28 significantly disrupted their innings. Moores’ innings featured three sixes and five fours, including a six over midwicket for the decisive winning shot.
Leicestershire began aggressively with consecutive sixes in the first three overs, but early wickets—including Ben Green’s dismissal for 21 off 11 balls—stifled their momentum. Linde’s four wickets, encompassing key dismissals such as Rishi Patel and Ashton Turner, left the Foxes at 73 for 4 by the ninth over. Fernando’s second wicket further tightened the noose, limiting Leicestershire to just 28 runs in the final five overs.
Nottinghamshire overcame early setbacks with Moores and Jack Haynes steadying the chase. A six over midwicket sealed the win, while Moores’ explosive batting—including three consecutive fours off Joey Evison in the 10th over—ensured a comfortable target completion with 10 balls remaining. The victory confirmed the Outlaws as North Group winners, bolstered by Yorkshire’s defeat at Old Trafford.
