President Donald Trump has stated that he deserves the Nobel Peace Prize, citing his administration’s role in resolving international conflicts.
During a press briefing, Trump claimed he helped settle eight wars and argued that his track record warrants the award.
He admitted uncertainty about whether the Norwegian Nobel Committee would select him, but asserted that overlooking him would undermine the committee’s credibility.
The 2026 Nobel Peace Prize is due to be announced on Friday.
