U.S. President Confirms Execution of Fort Hood Shooter by Firing Squad
The Pentagon stated that the planned execution of Fort Hood combatant Nidal Malik Hasan will proceed publicly and will be livestreamed. Hasan, who served as an Army psychiatrist, led the 2009 assault that resulted in the deaths of thirteen soldiers and injuries to more than thirty civilians at the Texas base. The White House has not yet confirmed these details.
