U.S. President Donald Trump has asked for changes to several provisions of a draft deal aimed at ending the United States’ hostilities with Iran, according to a BBC report on Sunday. The proposed adjustments focus on the Strait of Hormuz and the removal of highly enriched uranium.
Axios reported that Trump also wants to reinforce key elements of the agreement, particularly regarding the handling of Iran’s nuclear material. A senior U.S. official told Axios that Iran could need up to three days to respond to the revised terms.
