Following the match, Tuchel voiced strong criticism of the officiating, asserting that “referees are just not good enough.” He expressed uncertainty about whether his prior comments influenced the severity of Quansah’s suspension, stating, “We also have no explanation.”

The incident adds to FIFA’s scrutiny after previously suspending U.S. forward Folarin Balogun’s one-game ban for 12 months, a decision later reversed.

Despite missing Quansah, Tuchel announced a significant positive update: Declan Rice, Marc Guehi, and Reece James are all fit and available for the Norway match. All three participated in training sessions in Miami, fully committing to the quarter-final challenge.
“We had everyone available in training. That’s the best news,” Tuchel stated. “We have the full squad except for our suspended player.”
