Turkmenistan Marks 35 Years of Independence with U.S. Congratulations

On behalf of the United States, I offer warm congratulations to the people of Turkmenistan on the occasion of their 35th anniversary of independence, observed on September 27.

The United States acknowledges Turkmenistan’s sovereignty and commends its dedication to peace and prosperity throughout Central Asia. We are seeking to deepen cooperation in trade, investment, energy security, and transportation, including initiatives to reinforce and diversify regional energy supply corridors. Furthermore, we value Turkmenistan’s leadership in the C5+1 forum on artificial intelligence and digitization, as we partner with Central Asian nations to enhance regional security and economic collaboration.

As Turkmenistan observes this significant milestone, the United States anticipates strengthening our economic ties and collaborating to promote security and prosperity throughout Central Asia.
