The United Arab Emirates (UAE) clarified that missile threats detected early Sunday were located outside the country’s borders, according to Anadolu News Agency.

The UAE Defence Ministry emphasized that its national monitoring and tracking systems are operating at the highest levels of readiness and efficiency around the clock, as stated in a post on the US social media platform X.

The statement follows Tehran’s confirmation earlier that it had launched attacks on US military installations in regional countries as retaliation for American strikes on Iranian targets earlier this week.

The US had previously announced the completion of a third round of military strikes against Iran after Tehran targeted a commercial vessel in the Strait of Hormuz, escalating ongoing regional tensions.
