Ugarte Eyes Summer Move Away from Manchester United
Ugarte experienced a challenging second season at United, featuring primarily as a substitute while Casemiro was favored as the holding midfielder.
Manchester United are prepared to accept a loss on the 24‑year‑old this summer, and sources indicate that the player is also eager to seek a new challenge.
Galatasaray have already made initial contact with United’s representatives and may soon hold talks with Ugarte to negotiate a transfer.
United originally acquired Ugarte from Paris Saint‑Germain for £42 million, but the club could now secure a sale for as little as £24 million. Napoli and Atlético Madrid have also expressed interest.
The club has already secured a verbal agreement for Atalanta midfielder Ederson, who is set to join the team later this year.
Regardless of Ugarte’s departure, United are expected to pursue additional midfield reinforcements. Casemiro has already been confirmed to leave the club on a free transfer.
If Ugarte departs, the club plans to sign three midfielders.
