UK Airbase Counter‑Terror Probe: Displaced Residents Evacuated After Incident

Gloucestershire Police have notified displaced residents that they are prohibited from returning to their homes on Sunday night.

Cotswold District Council is arranging overnight accommodation for those unable to stay with family and friends, according to Deputy Chief Executive David Stanley.

A total of eighty‑five households were evacuated and urged to shelter at a nearby leisure centre during the incident.

Multiple individuals informed the BBC that they were woken by police in the early hours of Sunday and ordered to vacate.

“We simply threw our clothes on and went,” said Jo, one resident quoted exclusively.

“The whole thing happened too fast; we packed everything up and made our way here,” said Jason, another resident.

Reporters for the BBC observed that several individuals now occupying the leisure centre were still worn in their pyjamas.
