UK police detained pro‑Palestinian activists who had staged a blockade at a UK facility operated by UAV Engines Ltd, a subsidiary of Israeli defense company Elbit Systems and one of the world’s largest manufacturers of drone engines. The demonstrators contend that Elbit’s weapons are being used in Israel’s military operations in Gaza.
