Hundreds of ultra-Orthodox demonstrators gathered in northern Jerusalem’s Bar-Ilan Street area Thursday night to oppose the ongoing light rail expansion, according to Ynet.
Protesters dismantled perimeter fencing, ignited cardboard structures, and attempted to breach the active construction zone.
Police detained one suspect on suspicion of arson linked to the demonstration; the individual was taken into custody for questioning.
This is a developing story.
