On behalf of the United States, I congratulate the people of Tajikistan on September 9, their 35th Independence Day.
The United States and Tajikistan share a commitment to a sovereign, secure, and prosperous Central Asia. Cooperation on border security and counterterrorism helps protect both nations while advancing regional stability. Tajikistan’s hosting of the B5+1 Forum in Dushanbe offers another opportunity to strengthen regional economic ties, expand trade and investment, and create opportunities for American businesses.
As Tajikistan marks this milestone, the United States remains committed to deepening our partnership, advancing security, and expanding economic opportunities. We look forward to strengthening ties between our peoples and supporting continued prosperity in both countries.
