Vince Staples will embark on a North American tour to promote his new album Cry Baby. Accompanied by a live band, the shows are scheduled for October and November. Scroll down to watch a recording of Staples’ release‑day concert at Los Angeles’ El Rey Theatre.
Staples released Cry Baby, his first full‑length album for Loma Vista, earlier this month. Three tracks—“Blackberry Marmalade,” “White Flag,” and “Cotton”—have been accompanied by striking, politically charged videos. The “Blackberry Marmalade” video, styled like a first‑person shooter, was quickly age‑restricted on YouTube, prompting Staples to write on X, “if you are over the age of 18, make sure to share it with the youth around you. Our children deserve the truth.”
