Von Miller Flaunts Dallas Cowboys Jersey in Hopeful Move

Von Miller recently expressed regret over choosing the Commanders over the Seahawks, nearly a year after his debut with Washington. The linebacker signed with the team in July, a season following the Commanders’ NFC Championship appearance, while the Seahawks went on to secure a Super Bowl victory. Now, Miller is exploring new opportunities.

He has expressed a strong desire to return to the Broncos and has also considered rejoining the Commanders. The Cowboys, located just 24 miles from Miller’s hometown of DeSoto, have become his current focus.

On Wednesday, Miller shared a photo of himself wearing a No. 24 Cowboys jersey accompanied by a “Shhh” emoji. This followed his comments to R.J. Ochoa of SB Nation, where he stated, “it would be great to be a Dallas Cowboy.”

“I grew up here in Dallas,” Miller said. “I’ve always had a special place in my heart for the Dallas Cowboys. If I played for the Dallas Cowboys this year, I’d only have to drive 20 minutes to work. This would be the first time my mom and dad don’t have to fly to every single game. My mom has attended every game I’ve ever played in, and she’ll be able to drive to all home games from now on. I have so many family members here. My kids are here. My girlfriend is here. Everyone’s here. It’d just be easy to work it out, so you never really know.”

“You know we talked about that magnetic field in College Station [during his time at Texas A&M]. Maybe the magnetic field here in Dallas will get me there. So I would love to play for the Dallas Cowboys, and it’d be amazing.”

Miller, a two-time Super Bowl champion with the Broncos and Rams, has 138.5 sacks across 14 NFL seasons. He recorded nine sacks last season despite playing just 37 percent of defensive snaps, marking his highest total since 2021.

The Cowboys, who have not reached an NFC Championship Game since their last Super Bowl win in 1995, could benefit from Miller’s proven pass-rushing ability and personal connection to Dallas.
