The defeat leaves Wales without a victory in four matches across all competitions, with their impressive 7-1 victory over North Macedonia in November remaining their most recent success under current management.
Wales will look to redirect their momentum in the upcoming Nations League A campaign, where they are drawn against Portugal, Denmark, and Norway.
Following the loss, Wales striker Brooks emphasized the team’s need to become “miles better” in competitive fixtures moving forward.
“We were not good enough, not at all,” Brooks explained to BBC Match of the Day Wales.
“We need to review the performance and identify some positive elements.
We maintained possession well, but we lacked the quality of our final passes.
We played in positions that didn’t suit our strengths. We need to significantly improve ahead of the Nations League campaign and the next international window.”
