Walton Goggins joins the Strokes’ promotional push for their forthcoming album Reality Awaits. The White Lotus and Fallout star appears alongside Julian Casablancas and a troupe of dancing clowns in the Johann Rashid‑directed video for the single “Going Shopping.” Observant fans have noted the visual recalls Paul Simon’s Chevy Chase‑starring clip for “You Can Call Me Al.”
In an Instagram post, Goggins wrote, “THE STROKES!!! Video for the first release off their new album. GOING SHOPPING!! Never had the audacity to put something like this on my bucket list… I’ve been listening to REALITY AWAITS since March. It’s so gatdamn special, y’all. Thank you, fellas—Jules, Fab, Albert, Nikolai, and Johann—for this invitation. These are days I’ll never forget. New friends. I can’t wait to see you on the road; I’ll be singing my ass off wherever I can grab a seat. Link to the full video is in my bio.”
Reality Awaits arrives July 24 on RCA.
